The Soul Origami exhibit features 40 works that have all been created within the past 14 months and are on exhibit for the first time.
His work often features three-dimensional constructions that evoke the spirit of origami – folding geometric forms – “that give the work voice, velocity and urgency” according to the artist.
Many of the works are triptychs – three-paneled paintings – as well; as diptychs, paintings, drawings, and three-dimensional prayer temples.
Over 50 local artists using different media chose to limit their vast color palettes to those three colors – black, white & red. Come see how they expressed themselves.
