Artwork inspired by those who have been through the battle of breast cancer or are currently fighting it, will be featured in this exhibit called “In Support of…the B.R.A. Show”. These women have shown Bravery, Resiliency through Adversity. Women support each other through all stages of life…events, tragedies and joys. Each piece of art has a bra incorporated into it to reflect the support they give each other.

Some of the pieces are reflective of the journey of a single strong woman, as seen through the eyes of her students. Inspired pieces created by students at the Baldwin County Alternative School in response to their reaction to Susan Harrell’s ongoing battle will lead you through their journey and supportive responses.
Artwork created by the famous calendar gals, “Women of the Eastern Shore” will also be presented. These women are currently meeting over a series of classes to record, reflect and remember their journeys.
Professional artists from throughout the community are currently working on pieces that have a bra in it. Many have called and announced their participation, informing us they too are survivors!
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this artwork will be donated to the Amercian Cancer Society. A private preview event is also planned, which will be the Thursday before First Friday. For more information, or if you want to help, please call Nancy Raia.
