This workshop will show you how to convert old photos to digital files and how to fix blemishes, tears, fading and other defects. This class will be held in the computer lab at Fairhope Public Library and is limited to 15 students. Bring a couple of old photos and a black CD or USB drive to take your edited photos home.

German painter Guido Frick joined the Bongard School of Art in California and Idaho, where he completed his studies with world renowned painter Sergai Bongard. Frick has had many one man shows in Germany, Switzerland, and Italy. His bold, vigorous and brilliant brushwork and color harmonies have made his work increasingly in demand.

No need for fancy cameras or lenses to take interesting panoramic photos. This two part work shop will show you how. The first session will be in the studio where you will learn to the techniques involved in taking the images. The second session will be in the computer lab at Fairhope Public Library to assemble the images, edit and prepare to print them. Class is limited to 15 students.

Nationally known artist and instructor Dee Beard Dean from North Carolina will teach an intensive study on oil painting. Weather permitting, the first 2 days will be en plein aire at various locations around Fairhope. Painting since childhood, Dean is an artist skilled in oils, pastels, watercolors and sculpture. Dean is most notably well known for her portraiture of children throughout the United States. Traveling extensively, she discovered the colorful Southwestern states and the beauty of Europe which has inspired her to paint vibrant landscapes. Registration deadline is October 15th.
